Guidelines for Material Donations

Volunteers
take donated items with them to the countries where they teach, so we
cannot accept items that are too big, bulky or heavy to pack in a
suitcase.


Useful Items

The most useful donations are materials that can be used in making craft/art projects or small toys/prizes used to reward the children. Listed below are commonly used items, but they are only suggestions.

bean bags
brads
buttons
construction paper*
cotton balls
crayons (small boxes, 8 or 16 count)
glitter glue
glue sticks*
googly eyes
jump ropes
markers (8 count boxes)
masking tape*
paper plates
pipe cleaners
pompoms
prizes (i.e., stickers, plastic jewelry, any small, new toys, etc.)
rubber balls (that can be deflated and blown up)
rulers
scissors (kid-sized)
scotch tape*
string
yarn

*These are the most frequently used items that are the most difficult to find in the countries where we teach.
