Parental Support
Before Departure
We encourage and in some cases require parental support for volunteers applying for the program. We make an extra effort to keep parents and friends of volunteers informed about the ILP experience.
Please contact us. If parents or family ever have questions or concerns, or would like to share something with us, please don't hesitate to call our office.
While abroad
We want to help parents and family to feel comfortable while their volunteer is away.
- E-mail access is available in every location where ILP volunteers teach.
- The Discussion Board on this website allows parents to communicate (using the volunteer's login) with one another or volunteers who are teaching in an open community.
- Most volunteers have phones in their apartments.
